About

SODIC (Sixth of October Development & Investment Company), founded in 1996 and publicly traded on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX: OCDI.CA), is one of Egypt's largest and most established real-estate developers. In 2021, a consortium of Aldar Properties and ADQ acquired an 85.5% stake, bringing additional institutional depth. Over more than three decades, SODIC has built a broad portfolio of large-scale residential, commercial, and coastal communities across West Cairo, East Cairo, and the North Coast. Projects range from gated villa compounds and mixed-use districts like Eastown to beachfront resorts such as Caesar in Ras El Hekma. The developer's work is visible in established addresses like Allegria and The Strip, as well as newer ventures including Karmell and SODIC East. For buyers, SODIC represents a developer with a long track record, public-market accountability, and the backing of Abu Dhabi capital.
