About
W55 is a mixed-use project in New Cairo that The Waterway Developments describes as Egypt's first 'business resort.' Built on 55 acres opposite the developer's Waterway Villas, it integrates office spaces, retail, medical clinics, and serviced apartments within a single campus. The master plan centers on a large central park (roughly 40,233 sqm) and an artificial lake (roughly 10,938 sqm), with a circular bridge connecting the different clusters. The architecture uses geometric forms with white sun shades and glass facades, and the project also includes a hotel component under the developer's My Otel brand. Access is from Al Tahrir Axis and North/South 90th Street, placing it roughly eight minutes from the American University in Cairo. The developer positions W55 as a live-work environment where landscaped pedestrian routes and open plazas are part of the everyday experience.
