The Novelist is Ghoneim Developments Group's first fully integrated gated compound in Mokattam, built on roughly 30 acres directly on the new Mokattam Corniche. The project sits on the upper plateau at around 200 metres elevation, directly opposite Emaar's Uptown Cairo, giving it open panoramic views across the city. Low-rise buildings—ground plus six floors—keep density light, and only about a quarter of the land is built up; the rest is given to gardens, walkways, and water features, including artificial waterfalls inspired by a natural spring found on the site. The compound includes a clubhouse, a commercial area, an international school, and a planned hotel.
