Founded in 1968, Ghoneim Developments Group (GDG) is an Egyptian real estate developer with deep roots in the Mokattam area, where it has been involved in infrastructure and construction for over five decades. The company is led by engineer Kamal Ghoneim, a major landowner in the upper plateau. GDG's entry into integrated residential development is marked by The Novelist Mokattam, a gated compound on the new Mokattam Corniche, built on roughly 30 acres. The project is designed in collaboration with consultant engineer Omar Akil and includes a mix of residential units alongside planned amenities such as a clubhouse, a hotel, an international school, and a commercial area. The developer's reputation is tied to its long-standing local presence and its shift into building full-scale residential communities in a sought-after part of Cairo.
