About

Solare is a large coastal resort community at Ras El Hekma, on the North Coast’s Mediterranean shoreline, developed by Misr Italia Properties. The project spans approximately 386 feddans and is built across a series of natural terraces rising up to 36 metres above sea level, a design choice that gives most homes a view of the sea or the network of swimmable lagoons woven through the development. Only about 18% of the land is built on; the rest is given over to gardens, water features, and shared amenities. The master plan was created by the American firm EDSA, and the architecture takes cues from the Italian Mediterranean coast, using natural stone, white surfaces, and timber details. The project is organised into several themed zones—Ciano, Cielo, Lumera, Sicily Lagoon, and ClubHill—each with its own character and unit types, ranging from chalets and townhouses to villas. Two boutique hotels operate within the resort, and the amenities include a beach club, floating restaurants, co-working spaces, sports facilities, and a rooftop clubhouse called HillHouse at the highest point of the development.
