About
Shehab Mazhar (SQM Developments) approaches real estate development from an architecture-first perspective. The practice was founded in 1978 by Eng. Shehab Mazhar, a former Cairo University academic, and has since built a reputation for design and master-planning services for some of Egypt's leading developers. This background informs its transition into direct development, with Marsa Baghush in Sidi Heneish being its first wholly-owned coastal project. The company's public portfolio is selective rather than broad, focusing on quality of design—emphasizing spatial distribution, privacy, and natural light—over a large volume of projects. For buyers, Shehab Mazhar represents a developer whose value proposition is rooted in architectural pedigree and a considered approach to place-making, particularly relevant for those seeking a design-driven environment rather than a high-volume builder's product.
