About
Marquee Developments is a real estate developer with Egyptian roots and a founding team that draws on over 40 years of experience in construction and property investment. The company has completed more than nine projects in Egypt. Its first project in the Egyptian market is Shababeek, a residential compound in the North House area of New Cairo's Fifth Settlement. The compound is designed with a low building density—about 18% of the total 13- to 15-feddan site is built up, with the rest given to green spaces, water features, and amenities. The master plan was prepared by architect Moharam Bakhoum. Marquee has obtained the ministerial permit for the project and started excavation work. The developer positions itself as a newcomer focused on sustainable, smart communities and has stated an ambition to become a leading developer in Egypt.
