Porto Sokhna is a large-scale residential resort developed by Amer Group, set on a mountain plateau 270 meters above the Red Sea along the Ain Sokhna coast. It covers about 2.5 million square meters, with only 17% built up — the rest is open space, landscaped gardens, artificial lakes, and lagoons. The resort is known for its golf course, one of the few in Egypt set on a mountain top with sea views. It includes a private beach, multiple swimming pools, a teleferique (cable car), a spa, and a Roman theatre. There are also shopping malls, restaurants and cafes, a gym, and a salt cave.
