About
El Fustat is a large-scale development in Old Cairo by Saudi Egyptian Developers (SED), the company behind projects like Jayd New Cairo and Bleu Vert New Capital. Spread over 950 acres, it sits on Salah Salem Street near the Magra Al-Oyoun Aqueduct, placing residents within walking distance of cultural landmarks like the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, the Citadel of Saladin, and Al Fustat Park. The project's architecture draws from the Tulunid and Fatimid eras, with stone-clad facades and arabesque detailing that echo the 10th-century decorative traditions of the area. Homes are set within a gated community that includes an entertainment zone with cinemas and an amphitheater, a tourist promenade with jogging and cycling paths, underground parking for over 1,300 cars, and the Khan Arabesque commercial mall. The first phase, Arabesque, comprises 79 buildings with residential apartments and retail units, bordered by the Tulunid Era House and the Fatimid Era Hammam.
