About
Chess Field is a mixed-use business complex in New Cairo's Fifth Settlement, developed by AlJazi Developments, the real estate arm of the Seldar Misr group. The project is laid out on a 45,011 sqm site with twelve buildings arranged in a chessboard-inspired grid. Ten buildings are dedicated to Grade-A office spaces, while two house a Moxy by Marriott hotel, with retail on the ground and first floors across the complex. The location on the North 90th Street axis places it near Al Rehab City, the Ring Road, and the New Administrative Capital, within a dense residential catchment. The design, by Singaporean firm Meinhardt and Pavillion Architects, incorporates smart building systems, chilled water AC, fibre optics, and LEED certification targets. Facility management is handled by JW Marriott. Chess Field combines office, retail, and hotel uses in one planned district, an approach that is relatively uncommon among malls in the area.
