Madinet Masr, founded in 1959 and publicly listed on the Egyptian Exchange since 1995, is one of Egypt's oldest and most established real estate developers. Originally known as Madinet Nasr for Housing and Development (MNHD), the company rebranded in 2023 to reflect its broader national scope. It is best known for its two large-scale integrated communities in East Cairo: Taj City and Sarai. The developer has also expanded into Mostakbal City with projects like The Butterfly, and into New Heliopolis with Talala. With a track record spanning over six decades and having served approximately 32,000 families, Madinet Masr is recognized for its role in shaping modern Cairo through master-planned communities that combine residential, commercial, and recreational elements.
